Motivation
I am a linguist: I have always been fascinated by the interaction among different cultures, languages and society groups. Seeking to witness it daily, I would find myself in a different cultural environment by changing countries I was living in. I was seeking to fit in both in Italy and the Netherlands. Simultaneously, I would enjoy analyzing in which ways my mentality was different than the local one.
I see “Kurk Lietuvai” as a unique opportunity to return to my identity. At the same time, I realize how many new shades my identity has acquired after experiences outside Lithuania. Lithuania is full of cultural and social diversity: I hope that my projects in the public sector will show how our country can celebrate this diversity.
